Let’s get started:

If you’re new to the game golf or just feeling your way back into the sport, you may be interested in our pathway to golf programme.

The programme has been designed to give an opportunity to those who want to take up the sport, but at the same time, do so in a friendly environment and a cost-effective price.

Under the guidance of our PGA Professional, Andy Deller, you can start in one of three stages.

You can join at Stage 1 for complete beginners or for the slightly more experienced, start at Stage 2.

Stage 3 sees you integrate lessons alongside playing with the clubs’ members so you can get out onto the golf course to practice what you have learnt.

Each stage has one to one tuition for a personal approach, with groups sessions included in stages 1 & 2 to be able to meet fellow golf enthusiasts whilst working on your game.

Stage 3 continues your golf journey via tuition but also the fundamentals around the game such as completing scorecards, rules and etiquettes of the game.

An initial short assessment is required with Andy ( pro@midhertsgolfclub.co.uk) to assist in finding the right stage to start with.

Stage 1

  • 2x 40 minute private lessons which can be taken at any time and focuses on Driving, Fairway & Hybrids, Iron Play and Short Game.
  • 3x 1 hour group sessions (Dates TBA)
  • 1x playing lesson (3 to 6 holes)
  • £10 on your club card

Stage 2

  • 4x 40 minute private lessons on any area of your game
  • 2x 1 hour group sessions (Dates TBA)
  • 1x playing lesson (6 to 9 holes)
  • £10 on your club card Stage 2

Stage 3

  • 6x 40 minute private lessons on any area of your game
  • Introduction into club section golf
  • Limited access to the course to practice your skills undisturbed.
  • £10 on your club card

At this final stage, there will be a review with Andy on playing standards, rules and etiquette but most importantly, where you want to go with your golf journey next.

Mid Herts Golf Club have introduction memberships (Lifestyle) which give you a taste of golf club life without paying a full membership fee. However, you may decide that you are ready to commit to a full membership. Either way, we are here to support you on your pathway to Golf!
